“Now there are varieties of gifts but the same spirit...” (1 Corinthians 12:4)
We want all God’s children to feel welcome and included in the activities in Kids and Student Ministry!
We believe that God has made all of His children according to His perfect design and that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14-16). God has blessed us with the opportunity to serve children of all ages with special needs. We are committed to creating a place for every child to experience the love of Jesus and the freedom to worship God in an environment of protection, love and mutual respect.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
All God’s Children is available for infant through fifth grade. AGC promotes the full inclusion of children with varied developmental, emotional and behavioral needs in all aspects of church life. We use a range of modifications based on each child’s need, in order to create an environment where he or she can learn fully about the love of Jesus Christ. If needed, volunteer shadows are available to assist the child.
If you think your child could benefit from All God’s Children, contact Special Needs Coordinator Arielle Lewis.
“While He was preaching God’s Word to them, four men arrived, carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They couldn’t bring him through the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof, above His head. They lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus.” Mark 2: 2-5
Through The Roof, a program for older kids is available for jr high and high school aged students. TTR is a fully-inclusive program, serving students with varied developmental, emotional and behavioral needs in all aspects of church life. We use a range of modifications based on individual student needs, to create an environment in which each student can have a personal encounter with the love of Christ, as well as develop meaningful relationships with their peers.
If needed, TTR uses a buddy system where trained High School student volunteers will mentor students with special needs, through one on one interactions and by helping students engage fully in the student ministry at Faithbridge.
If you think your student could benefit from Through The Roof, contact Special Needs Coordinator Arielle Lewis.
Many of our volunteers have considerable experience working with people who have disabilities. Others come with no experience or formal training. All that is needed is a heart for people with disabilities. There is no need to hesitate because of lack of experience. We will provide you with all the training you will need.
