FSM Parent Workshop
Sunday, October 22, 2017, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
A fundamental issue in the homes of the families we serve is that students are dealing with mature issues: anxiety, depression, sexuality, identity, social media and the internet.
They aren’t quite equipped to deal with these issues alone, while their parents are frustrated wondering, “What is going on in their head?” In this Parent Workshop we want to answer the question every parent is asking themselves and give them the tools necessary to intentionally parent students that are dealing with mature themes.
There will be two speakers during the workshop. Dr. Paul Looney, a practicing physician and psychiatrist for over twenty five years from The Woodlands, Texas, will speak to the minds of students, as well as to the scientific reasons how we process pressures and behaviors the way we do. That evening, we will also get to hear from Pastor Dan Slagle, who is faithfully raising girl students of his own. Please join us for this evening – it is sure to be full of valuable take aways!
The Workshop will be in Center Court West. Dinner will be served. Cost: $10 per person, $15 per couple.
