Revised Mask Policy for Easter Weekend
Indoors for Kids (and overflow seating in Center Court East, if needed)
As normal, inside for Kids Ministry, masks will be required for everyone over the age of 2. We will have signs placed prominently, and we will have ample amounts of disposable masks that will be given away freely as people enter. This will also continue to apply in Center Court East if we need it for overflow or if the weather forces us indoors.
Variation between Indoors and Outdoors
Outside, under the cavernous tent, staff and volunteers will continue to wear masks, and we will welcome and encourage everyone else to keep masks on as well. But ample seating combined with the extra mitigation of ventilation provided by being outside means we will not need ushers and greeters “policing” masks. Knowing many will be coming to learn of Jesus for the first time – who might well have already been vaccinated – we will ask ushers and greeters to focus solely on leading with winsome, smiling eyes and voices – proclaiming, “Christ is risen! Welcome! If you need a mask or two, we’ve plenty here for you! Glad you are here! Happy Easter!”
Outdoor Seating Change
Last Sunday in worship, Pastor Ken explained how we will use seat markers for social distancing under the tent. We will ask families to decide and place their own seat spacers beside their family unit, using one or two on either side of them, depending on their comfort level and in light of the added ventilation provided by being outdoors.
