Ken Werlein

Founding Pastor

Ken Werlein is founding pastor of Faithbridge and a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Asbury Theological Seminary. In 1998, the Lord called Ken to plant a church in Northwest Houston with the mission to make more and stronger disciples of Jesus Christ.

Ken prioritizes family time with his wife, Suzanne, and their two sons, Wesley and William.

Dan Slagle

Care and Prayer Pastor

Dan Slagle, a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, originates from Atlanta, GA. Dan has been on the Faithbridge staff for 15 years and currently serves as the Care and Bridging Pastor.

Dan is particularly passionate about the local church and enjoys training pastors around the world. Outside of church Dan can be found running, painting, or reading something by or about JRR Tolkien. Dan and his better half, Becky, have four daughters–Georgia, Erika, Adeline, and Vivian.

Michael Sullivan


Michael “Sully” Sullivan is an Aggie with a master’s degree in accounting. After working in Dallas as an external auditor, Michael joined the staff as Young Adult Pastor. Now he combines his heart for ministry with his accounting expertise as Business Administrator.

Michael loves quality time with his wife, Jill, playing or watching golf, and walking his dog, Georgia.

Duffy Robbins

Bible Teacher

Duffy Robbins, professor of youth ministry at Grove City College in PA, is a widely-respected leading voice in youth and family ministry and a bestselling author. Duffy is well known for his insights, inspiration and humor, both in the classroom and as he travels the world speaking to teenagers, youth leaders and parents of teens.

Duffy is a favorite returning speaker at Faithbridge.

Timothy Ateek

Bible Teacher

Timothy Ateek (TA) is part of the Faithbridge preaching team. He is the Director of Breakaway Ministries at Texas A&M. TA grew up in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M in 2003 and received a degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is married to Kathryn, and they have three sons.

TA’s passion is to help people learn how to enjoy a relationship with God for a lifetime.

Ben Stuart


Ben grew up in Houston and graduated from Texas A&M in 1998. He served as a youth pastor at Faithbridge for five years and went on to receive a degree in Historical Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. After serving as Executive Director for Breakaway for over a decade, Ben now leads the new Passion City Church in Washington, D.C. He enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Donna, and their three children.

Ben’s passion in life is knowing God and making Him known.

Steve Carter

Bible Teacher

Steve is currently dividing his time between guest speaking for churches, events, and communities, developing communicators in mentorship programs, working with leadership boards to help cultivate strong internal communicators and strategy, studying and writing.

He co-hosts a podcast called The Home Team about the intersection of sports, faith, and culture with Sam Acho and Trey Burton. He lives in Phoenix with his wife, Sarah, and their two kids.

Tyler Riley

High School Pastor

Tyler Riley serves as the High School Pastor of Faithbridge, and directs the High School gathering, Pointbreak. After growing up in Baytown, TX, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from East Texas Baptist University in 2013. Before coming to Faithbridge in the Fall of 2017, Tyler spent 3 years on full-time staff at Pine Cove Camps, serving in the Family Ministry sphere.

He believes that students are capable now, to play an important part in the church and impact the world around them. Pointbreak takes place at Faithbridge Church on Sunday nights at 7pm!
