We believe that different personalities lend unique perspectives to God’s Word. We are blessed to be able to offer quality teaching from a team of exceptional speakers and consider it one of our strengths. Despite different venues, all attendees hear the same message from the same speaker.
Ken Werlein is founding pastor of Faithbridge and a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Asbury Theological Seminary. In 1998, the Lord called Ken to plant a church in Northwest Houston with the mission to make more and stronger disciples of Jesus Christ. Ken prioritizes family time with his wife, Suzanne, and their two sons, Wesley and William.
Dan Slagle, a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, originates from Atlanta, GA. Dan has been on the Faithbridge staff for 15 years and currently serves as the Care and Bridging Pastor. Dan is particularly passionate about the local church and enjoys training pastors around the world. Outside of church Dan can be found running, painting, or reading something by or about JRR Tolkien. Dan and his better half, Becky, have four daughters–Georgia, Erika, Adeline, and Vivian.
Michael “Sully” Sullivan is an Aggie with a master’s degree in accounting. After working in Dallas as an external auditor, Michael joined the staff as Young Adult Pastor. Now he combines his heart for ministry with his accounting expertise as Business Administrator. Michael loves quality time with his wife, Jill, playing or watching golf, and walking his dog, Georgia.
Adam McIntire is the Men’s Discipleship and Grow Groups Coordinator at Faithbridge. He is passionate about teaching and studying theology. Other things Adam is passionate about: watching Netflix, the Houston Rockets, comic books, queso, coming up with cool handshakes, etc. Adam is married to his best friend and partner in ministry, Kathleen, and they have a beautiful young daughter, Juliet.
Kyle Pettit is the Young Adults Pastor at Faithbridge. Born and raised in Houston, Kyle graduated from Oklahoma State University. Now he is back in the great state of Texas, and his three loves are teaching the Bible, training leaders, and writing stories. He’s just a goofy millennial hoping to inspire people into all that they are created to be.
Duffy Robbins, professor of youth ministry at Grove City College in PA, is a widely-respected leading voice in youth and family ministry and a bestselling author. Duffy is well known for his insights, inspiration and humor, both in the classroom and as he travels the world speaking to teenagers, youth leaders and parents of teens. Duffy is a favorite returning speaker at Faithbridge.
Timothy Ateek (TA) is part of the Faithbridge preaching team. He is the Director of Breakaway Ministries at Texas A&M. TA grew up in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M in 2003 and received a degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is married to Kathryn, and they have two sons. TA’s passion is to help people learn how to enjoy a relationship with God for a lifetime.
Ben grew up in Houston and graduated from Texas A&M in 1998. He served as a youth pastor at Faithbridge for five years and went on to receive a degree in Historical Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. After serving as Executive Director for Breakaway for over a decade, Ben now leads the new Passion City Church in Washington, D.C. He enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Donna, and their three children. Ben’s passion in life is knowing God and making Him known.
