Day 22

Day 22

Fulfilled by Reagan B. | FSM Student

Luke 4:16–21

When I was in 3rd grade, my family moved to Dallas, Texas. Although sad, I was also excited to have a fresh start at a new school! Dallas was great at first… then things started to go downhill.

It was as easy as I thought it would be to make friends, and I learned some hard lessons. My parents’ jobs were challenging and my brother and my schoolwork had us so stressed that my family began to grow away from God and started to look to earthly things instead of the Lord.

After a little over 2 years of living in Dallas, we decided to move back to Houston. When my parents told me the good news of moving back to Houston, I felt relieved. It was like I knew what was meant in Luke 4:18, where it says, “…proclaim good news to the poor.” God has been faithful to draw me close to him!

I am truly full and joyful now that I can live with God right by my side. Luke 4:19 says, “to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” which is exactly how I feel now that I know I can fall into the arms of the Savior. I challenge you to surrender yourself to God this holiday season; you will feel fulfilled with the love He has for you!
