55 & Up Trip to Houston Ballet, Trebeards Cloister Restaurant, and Julia Ideson Library

Join us for a bus trip to Houston Ballet Behind the Scenes Tour, lunch at Trebeards Cloister Restaurant, and the Julia Ideson Library. This trip has no cost, other than lunch, which you will pay for individually.

  • The Houston Ballet behind the scenes tour of the Margaret Alkek Williams Center for Dance is a 50-60 minute program with trained docents that will guide you through the six-story, 115,000-square foot facility in the heart of downtown Houston’s Theater District. Tour does not include the Wortham Theatre Center where the Houston Ballet performs.
  • Each attendee will pay individually onsite at the restaurant, Trebeards Cloister. It is a Houston classic set in the auditorium of church in downtown Houston. It is cafeteria style and will cost approximately 15-20 dollars per person, depending on what is ordered.
  • Self-guided tour at The Julia Ideson Building is a Houston Public Library facility in Downtown Houston, Texas, It is named for Julia Bedford Ideson, who served as the system's first head librarian for 40 years. The Spanish Renaissance-style building is part of the Central Library, and houses its archives, manuscripts, and Texas and Local History departments. It is also the site of the Houston Metropolitan Research Center. From 1926 to 1976 it was Houston's sole main library building.
