Age requirements: No minimum age requirements – this is a family-friendly serve opportunity.
Meals on Wheels delivers hot, well-balanced meals to the doors of seniors and other neighbors who are homebound because of disability or illness. Volunteer drivers will be given a route to deliver hot, nutritious meals to clients. With each delivery, volunteers provide a few moments of conversation to check on the client’s well-being, which seniors look forward to.
Times: 8am–12pm (AM shift) and 1pm–4 pm (PM shift)
Age requirements: 6-year-old minimum age requirement.
The Houston Food Bank distributes food and other essentials to those in need through a network of community partners. Volunteers will serve in various projects based on need, including sorting, repacking, and stocking food.

Age requirements: 7-year-old minimum age requirement.
Hope Beyond Bridges provides a safe and reliable way to feed and minister to the homeless in the North Houston area because a bridge is not a home. Volunteers are building relationships, trust, and restoring HOPE with those they serve. Cooking volunteers will help prepare meals, and Serving Volunteers will deliver meals and other essentials to our homeless friends under the bridges.

Sleep In Heavenly Peace provides hand-made bunk beds to children who don’t have beds of their own. Volunteers will assist in delivering and assembling beds. No specific skills needed. All you need is a desire to help kids get a bed of their own. Must be at least 8 years of age to volunteer.
Times: 10am–12pm
Age requirements: 11-year-old minimum age requirement
Entrusted Houston exists to meet the needs of families under the care of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). Their goal is to ensure that every child has a safe and stable home environment. To better serve their clients, it is important for them to keep up with the organization of all donations at their Resource Center. Volunteers will help sort and hang clothes, clean and organize the intake area, and more.
Times: 9am—1pm
Age requirements: Adult only
Northwest Assistance Ministries strives to meet basic human needs through neighbors helping neighbors. Volunteers will help paint parking lot lines at their property.
