Bible Teacher Clay Scroggins begins our new series in Genesis. Guiding us through Genesis 1, Clay reminds us that it all begins with God. Both the story of creation and our lives with Him. We can find encouragement in the fact that since it all begins with God, He has a purpose for each of us.

In Sunday’s message Pastor Ken reminds us of the reasons that God created marriage: marriage is a vehicle for forever friendship, a place for safe sexuality, and a means of sanctification. He calls us to stand against culture’s superficial view of marriage and embrace the rich relationship God always intended.

Pastor Ken looks at the enemy’s deception in Genesis 3 and how his tactics really haven’t changed in how he seeks to lead us away from the Lord today. He points out how the enemy seeks to separate us from God, how we can arm ourselves again those attempts, and how God is always better than any temptation put in front of us.

Steve Carter explores the dynamic between Cain and Abel - and the way that God experienced the generosity of each. He reminds us that God's words to Cain, to know himself so well that he can rule over sin, also apply to us. Understanding that there is no scarcity of God's goodness should free us to celebrate with one another and to be generous towards God. 

Jared Darby teaches us that Noah's world isn't so different from our own. Even as Noah and his family were saved from the rising waters, they had to reckon with the sin they brought along - in each of their hearts. We are in the same predicament. The wooden vessel we look to isn't the ark but the cross. And Jesus is standing ready to deliver us if we turn to him.

Bible Teacher Clay Scroggins teaches out of Genesis 11, asking us to consider how often we strive to forge our own paths and identities. Instead, we should walk humbly through doors God has already opened for us.

Founding Pastor Ken Werlein preaches reminds us that God is the eternal initiator, always taking the first step toward us. Are we responding like Abram in Genesis 12, by taking a step towards God in return? Or do we continue to pray for direction, miracles, and more without obeying the last word God gave us? God calls all of us to believe, trust, and obey! 

Dan Slagle brings a message on truth-telling from Genesis 12. Lying has been a trap many humans have fallen into - from the very beginning. Even Abram, one of the most faith-filled people in the Bible was susceptible. His life shows us just how destructive even a "little" lie is. But if we embrace truth, we will find grace and forgiveness waiting in the person of Jesus. 

Jared Darby brings us a message out of Genesis 16. He acknowledges the intensity of moments when God seems to fail us. Jared reminds us that although God may not meet our expectations, he always has a plan. Our job is to wait, obey, and trust. 

Scot walks us through the Abrahamic Covenant, showing us how God's promise to be faithful cannot be broken. Through Abram we see that God welcomes a messy, dynamic relationship. Anyone who wonders if God could really love them can take comfort from God's commitment to His people. 

Founding Pastor Ken Werlein preaches out of Genesis 19, drawing relevant lessons from the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. He reminds us that sin will find creative ways into our lives, often through our habits, friends, and surroundings. The truth is that life with Jesus is the most fulfilling life we could find. Choose Him and don't look back! 

This week Bible Teacher Jared Darby takes us through Genesis 22, where we discussed what it is like to be stuck in a season, and how a life of freedom cam be found even there. Darby challenges us to apply Abraham's perspective to our own lives and realize that out plans pale in comparison to God's.

Founding Pastor Ken Werlein preaches out of Genesis 24 about Isaac’s journey to find a spouse. He reminds the singles in the audience that God’s path to love and partnership may surprise us, but it’s always best.

Founding Pastor Ken Werlein reflects on twins Jacob and Esau. As they battle it out for their Father's Blessing, we see how critical a Father's approval is. Whether we have a great dad, a terrible dad, or an absent one, we can all find inner healing when we accept God as our Father and root our worth in His love. 

Through the story of Jacob's two wives, Leah and Rachel, Bible Teacher Clay Scroggins helps us wrestle with the question: What do we do with cosmic disappointment? When we're honest with God we can build a relationship strong enough to withstand doubts that come from disappointment. 

Through the story of Jacob and his uncle Laban in Genesis 31, Pastor Dan Slagle shows us a classic example of an unhealthy relationship. As Christ followers, we’re supposed to have mature, honoring, life-giving relationships with others. But far too often we live lives that are enmeshed; it's not clear where I end and you begin. Pastor Dan shows us that from Jacob we learn the importance of keeping good boundaries. 

Bible Teacher Scot Pollok teaches out of Genesis 33 today, guiding us through the story of Jacob and Esau's reconciliation. When we realize the grace and forgiveness that we have received, we are able to extend that to others. Forgiveness is a difficult and powerful choice that we can make because of God's great goodness towards us. 

Bible Teacher Duffy Robbins teaches out of Genesis, helping us to examine the story of Jacob wrestling with God. Jacob believed that he could claim God's promises by the power of his strength. Duffy reminds us that, although God is never afraid of our questions, we can never bend God to our will - we can only surrender and trust in His goodness.
