Melanie Shankle is the New York Times bestselling author of Sparkly Green Earrings, The Antelope in the Living Room, Nobody’s Cuter Than You, and Church of the Small Things. She also has a 100 day devotional book for women entitled Everyday Holy and a 100 day devotional for teen girls called Fearless Faith. Her newest book, On The Bright Side, was released in February 2020 along with her first children’s picture book entitled, Piper and Mabel: Two Very Wild But Very Good Dogs. Melanie speaks at events nationwide and is a class of 1993 graduate of Texas A&M. She lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband, Perry, and daughter, Caroline.

Shop Talk is a one-night event for men to learn from relevant biblical teaching that will inspire and challenge them and for real talk with other men about real issues that men face, all over a delicious dinner. 

Join us Tuesday, September 6 at 7pm.

This semester, Scot Pollok joins us to kick off our fall season: Rise Up! In his characteristic insightful style, he will share with us how to follow the True and Risen King from failure into victory, from slavery into freedom, from passivity to leading our families, our communities, and our church. Baptism declares that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. It is a public confession of your faith in, and commitment to, Jesus Christ. Baptism is a symbol of Christ’s burial and resurrection. Our entrance into the water during baptism identifies us with Christ’ death on the cross, His burial in the tomb, and His resurrection from the dead. It is a symbol of your new life as a Christian, where we bury the “old life” and rise up to walk in a “new life”!

Adults can apply to be baptized by completing an online application. This information is helpful to our team as you move forward in the process. We will then contact you, share the upcoming baptism dates, and answer any questions you have. Baptisms are celebrated at a host home, and you are encouraged to invite your family and friends to celebrate with you.
