Today we get to hear from Pooja Kelm. I think it’s an amazing Jesus Story! As a young woman, Pooja just so happened to travel thousands of miles to a new country. Once here, she just so happened to encounter an older woman who, just so happened, to be rededicating her faith in Jesus.
After our conversation, Pooja told me how God used Luke 6:27 to challenge her. In this Scripture, Jesus says to “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.” She was trying to be a good person but she couldn’t manufacture sufficient goodness within herself to do this. When she compared herself to the holiness of God, she knew she was a sinner. She said, “I knew I needed Jesus to truly be good, to become a part of His perfect plan.”
Did God really bring a girl thousands of miles from her home so that she could come to know Jesus? I think so. He traveled much further to come to rescue us all.
